Well you had better be prepared to brush his teeth! I knew someone who brushed her horses teeth. He ate oranges and grapefruits too. I wouldn't recommend that! I have known horsey people to do a lot of strange things. Then again I was a horsey person once....dog people much worse!...I have a dog...well never mind.

No one should eat sugar. Did you know that cancer cells feed on sugar and mucus? True. It ain't nick named the 'White Death' for noth'n!

The sugar is over kill and over kill can ruin everything. I like that phrase someone already said! If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Also, interupting something that is going well is not usually a good idea.

That thing about horses dropping everything for a sugar cube! True!

Peace!

If you're winning then win. Don't stop for greed's sake to win by more. It will give the horse energy but you don't need any more. You are winning. It's like the hare stopping to take a rest and then falls asleep while the tortoise never gives up. Don't get cockey.

yes you can feed a horse sugar, they like it, sugar cubes.

as for the phrase, it probably means, if things are going well, no need to sweeten the mix to encourage them to go better, like, you don't have to give someone an incentive to do better if they are already doing better. probably it's something like that, but i sure dont' see the problem ever with giving someone a reward or incentive gift!
