Basically, philosophy is the enterprise of clarifying thought. You said I think its cool if its the philosophy your thinking of.
I hope its not the Mystic Guru style of philosophy.
Example-The guy that sits under a tree and says something "Deep" a useless uttering without giving any REASONS back by logic to believe it is true

That is not philosophy. The discipline of philosophy is governed by the RULES of logic. Arguments have different structures and some are valid while others are invalid.
Real philosophy is a study. Its not some group of guys sitting around shootin the ish trying to sound intelligent.
Here`s an example of a question posed by the mystic guru style of philosophy. I`ll answer question according to the rules that govern logic.
Q.What is the purpose of purpose?
A.This questioned cannot be answered reasonably because it commits the logical fallacy termed Circularity.
Example-what is the purpose of the purpose for the purpose. No wait, what is the purpose of the purpose for the purpose of purpose. One more time what is the purpose of All purpose.

As you can see this is just one big azz circle no meaning whatsoever. So called Deep questions like "What is the meaning of Life", when thought about clearly does not make any sense. If your serious about learning this discipline PICK UP A BOOK!
Remember Clarity and clear thinking is the key.

Activity of thinking. That's how I always viewed it. And then from there, you would share your thoughts with other people and find that everyone has different perspectives through life...that's what I like about philosophy. You learn from people's insights. I'm not sure myself if the philosophy I'm thinking is true, either.
