Finally, I can answer this one...reached my daily limit when this was put up.
If you've seen any of my other answers, you'll know that I am a die-hard Packer fan. But, putting personal loyalties aside, I have to say Brady.
I'm assuming by your question that you mean who is the better of the two RIGHT NOW. If you take them at the peak of their careers, Brett wins hands down because between 1995-1998, he was by far and away the best QB in the league, with records that Brady has yet to match.
(Yeah, fans of Elway, Marino, Montana and Young will probably disagree, but 16391 yards, 143 TD passes (against just 65 picks), an approximate QB rating of 93.9, not missing a start, one Super Bowl ring, three consecutive MVPs, and leading the league twice in passing yards and three times in TD passes during this four-year span tells its own story. And yes, I know Brady has three rings in four, but football is a TEAM sport, something the Patriots themselves are fond of reminding us.)
But, as you all know, the NFL is very much a "what have you done for me lately" business. Brett has played to a high level, he's tough as nails, and has a never-say-die attitude, but even the most fervent of Brett sympathisers have to admit that his skills are declining. He has gone back to the gun-slinging days of old, and he feels like he has to do too much. And as I said in a previous answer, he was in too much of a comfort zone under Mike Sherman. Hopefully Mike McCarthy and his new QB coach can reverse that trend.
Brady, on the other hand, has done more with less. During the Patriots dominance, he has had to work with RBs and WRs who have at times been less than Pro Bowl standard, the type of players that fit the system and buy into what Belichick has preached to them.
He has shown considerable poise on the field, and directing those two drives to put Adam Vinatieri in a position to win Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVIII with his boot showed a calm and a maturity that belied his (still young) years. It's just a shame for him that he plays in an era where Peyton Manning is putting up all kinds of obscene numbers, otherwise we would be praising Tom Brady much more.
Truth is, both the Pack and the Pats have had to deal with numerous injuries on both sides of the ball in recent years, plus a supporting cast which have bordered on the no-name at times, but you cannot argue that in the last few years, Brady rather than Brett has done more with less.
In a nutshell: In his prime, no-one could touch Brett, but right now, it HAS to be Brady. Sorry fellow Pack fans, but take off your rose-tinted spectacles and admit the truth.

This one is a toughy... I think Brett Favre is by far one of the best QB's to play the game and already has his spot in the HOF just waiting for him. On the other hand we have Tom Brady who is more cool, calm, and collect in the pocket than any quarterback I have ever seen play... and to top it off he's got 3 superbowl rings and plenty more time to add to that amount.
I'm going to have to go with Brett Favre though. The man is always willing to do whatever it takes to get his team the win whether it means throwing 5 interceptions trying to get his team back in the game or putting his body on the line while diving into the endzone for the touchdown. Favre is the only quarterback I know of that doesn't give a sh*t about his stats and goes onto the field every series with on thing on his mind and one thing only... that being to get his team back in the game. While other quarterbacks will make the short pass to the open receiver for 5 yards... Favre will bullet it in between 3 defenders risking an interception to get the big gain or touchdown. Tom Brady gets caught up playing too cautiously and that costs him sometimes. Like last year when the Dolphins destroyed the Pats... Brady's passing stats didn't look terribly awful because he protected the ball and didn't want to risk throwing an interception. Look what that got the Pats... a big shut out. All in all I think Brett Favre is the best quarterback of the two no matter who has the most superbowl rings.

If you are talking about the Career? Favre by a long shot. SBs should not count so much since Football is a TEAM sport.
Favre has done alot more with alot less then Tom Brady.
Brady doesn't have any MVPs compared to Favres 3.
Brady would not have any rings if Sherman was his coach. if the packers had a coach like Belichik instead of Sherman Favre would have 4-5 rings as well
Favre is nearing MAny MANY MAJOR career passing records
Favre has played every single game since 1992
So if you are talking about Career and in their primes favre is the better QB
Although i will be the first to admit that Favre has passed his prime. so if you are talking about now then Brady is the better QB. He is younger he is hitting his prime and he has Randy Moss to throw too. He is on the better team by Far and he has alot more speed and Stanima and he has better Accuracy. he has an offensive line to block for him and he has recievers that can catch the ball. Brady is better for the year Favre is better for the Career.
So now that all is said and done
Career Favre
Season Brady.

That's a no-brainer. BRETT FAVRE. Does Tom Brady have any NFL Career Records? Don't think so. Brett favre will have like 10 NFL career records after this season is over. Can't say that for Brady can you? I guess not.
Green Bay all the way!!!

Brett Favre has had one of the most distinguished NFL careers ever, and every year he keeps playing he will break more records. If you are looking for raw physical talent, Brett Favre has the edge over Brady because of his combination of decent mobility and an artillery cannon for an arm, even as long as he's played.
If you look at Brady's game, he's got the vision and pocket presence to go along with superb decision making ability and awareness. Even he will say that he is one of the slowest QBs in league history, and while he throws a beautiful deep ball, he doesn't have a laser for an arm.
It's a tough call, the perfect physical specimen in Brett Favre or the masterful technician, Tom Brady. I'd have to go with Brady, because he's won three super bowls even when the offensive talent around him was questionable. Favre is fantastic, and should be in the Hall of Fame, but Brady has better leadership skills.

To Everyone That Said Tom Brady...YOUR RETARDED, Brett Favre is the greatest QB of all time, he is the NFL's ONLY 3 time MVP, hes won a superbowl and he has more records that most of you Brady supporters can even count to, he defines class in the NFL, he never held out over a contract, he always plays with all of his heart and is out there to have fun, not to see how much money he can hold out for. BRETT FAVRE ALL THE WAY! GO PACK GO!

Brett Favre is not only the greatest quarterback, but probably the greatest football player that ever lived. If you look at the top 100 plays ever made by a quarterback, Favre has at least 95 of them! his primo years in the '93-'98 saw a quarterback play at a level we've never seen before. I don't even want to get into the inspirational factor that he brings to the table. I have seen three players in my lifetime that I say, "We will never see another one like him".
Jim Brown
Barry Sanders
Brett Favre
Enjoy him while you can boys and girls!
They should just disband the NFL when Favre retires.

Currently, Tom Brady has more talent to work with and is at the top of his game. He will be the better quarterback for next season.
As far as a whole career, Farve clearly is the better quarterback. By the end of next season, Farve should be the all-time leader in yards thrown, TD's, and almost every other major passing stat. While Brady may someday reach these numbers, he hasn't quite got there yet.

It's not really a totally fair question; Favre is what...like 41 or more and Brady is about 28 or so. At this stage, Brady is probably better. Ten years ago, the nod would've gone to Brett.
