I have heard so many liberals "say" we should all be tolerant of each other, but only when they are referring to others' tolerance levels, not their own...their own actions condemn them and most of them have spouted some of the worst hate messages I have ever heard! Then they get pissed at someone like Ann Coulter who throws it back at them...Why is this? Is it just that they are mostly hypocrites and don't care that they do not practice what they preach? Or do they think the rules only apply to others? Not only intolerance, but this happens alot in all they stand behind, for instance: Al Gore, whose home is the worst for expending large amounts of unnecessary energy, yet he professes to be for all that is "green"??? I have more, but too many examples to mention here!

ok, SKY, you didn't read the question correctly...I never said I was tolerant...I asked why liberals are NOT tolerant when they "profess" to be and want everyone else to be tolerant of them. I do not profess to be tolerant of anyone for wahtever reason I choose. It is my constitutional right not to be and some bleeding heart liberal has no right to try to FORCE me to be, especially when they are the worst example of it themselves.

Ok, Richard, this one is just for you, since you think I am waaay off on this one...

The meaning of the word "liberal" is: favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties

AND YET...the people who profess to be the most liberal on political issues (correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that the left???) are the very ones who want to take away or limit MY freedoms...through EPA regulations, while they overuse the same resources (ex: Al Gore)...who spout tolerance, but when push comes to shove, they are the first to throw stones of hate (ex: Alec Baldwin)...who don't mind robbing me at gunpoint (income taxes) of my hard earned dollars, while evading taxes themselves (ex: Hillary Clinton)...should I go on? I am running out of room, they only give you so much space to rant...lol Email me...we'll chat...Sounds like we have a lot to debate...are you up to it?

;-)

If you used to watch the tv show "Seinfeld", you already know the answer!

George Costanza loved imagining he was an architect. He talked about being an architect, bragged about his interest in being an architect, but when it came to actually pursuing this interest, he had no interest whatsoever. He just liked passing himself off as an architect.

This is how Liberals are about free speech and tolerance. They will alternately get teary eyed about defending free speech, then vitriolic when a Conservative espouses ideas that differ from theirs.

Liberals are scared of Conservatives because Liberals don't even understand the issues they are dealing with, and to cover up their ignorance, they get verbally abusive to mask their meager comprehension of an issue. Conservatives are deep thinkers. We have the renowned news analyst Bill O'Reilly. Libs have Al Franken. Talk about an embarrassment.

Conservatives can count on well educated, well mannered athletes like Tiger Woods and Pete Sampras. Liberals can count on the pampered, overly-tattooed gangsta' wanna-be's in the NBA and others.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a famous Conservative. Martin Sheen is a famous Liberal. Wanna bet who is smarter by a longshot?

Libs get whiny and petulant because their positions are most often ill-conceived and logically flawed. Then, like infants who are trying desperate to understand the big, confusing world they see from their cribs, they lash out with temper tantrums at the Conservatives who perplex them.

Liberals just wanna talk a good game, just like George Costanza.

I dislike what Coulter has to say and how she says it, but I've never thought she should be run out of the country. In fairness, all political extremists do is expose the worst side of whatever cause they are speaking of, so it turns away more people than it convinces.

So Gore is a hypocrite; he's also a politician, so that kind of goes with the territory. That also may mean he lies, but it doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong.

At least I can recognize the difference.

I'm tolerant of your behavior and your obvious political opinions. That doesn't mean I have to like you.

Well first off they sort of are. But they go overboard. They make laws not to discriminate against a group. Then that group ends up with more privleges than anybody else. Or it backfires on them and another group wins out. Take minorities to college. They have all these racial quota laws allowing fewer whites trying to help blacks. It does help some afro americans but it helps the asians more.
I could go on and on but like the Supreme Court said this week: The best way not to discriminate is not to discriminate.

This is how liberals redefine words like 'tolerance'. If they can say it enough, they can make people believe it.
The same technique is being used for the "concensus on global warming"; there is no concensus in the dictionary sense of the word, but Al Gore uses it as often as he can and redefines the word to suit his purpose.

Liberals? ...What I find most amusing, is when someone (like you) throws a label on another person, ignoring both the meaning of the word and the fact that the person being labeled doesn't agree.

When people can make up whatever meaning they want for the words and labels they throw around, those words become meaningless. Which devolves the entire conversation to mindless shouting.

I don't tolerate most Republicans very well I have to admit.

But I believe where the word "tolerance" gets thrown in regards to liberals is in reference to other races, other nationalities, and other lifestyles.

Politically speaking, there's a ton of us who are intolerant cons/Repubs.

To quote Austin Powers and Michael Cane's character, "I am intolerant of people hating other people's culture.....AND THE DUTCH!"

Never claimed to be "tolerant." In fact, I think that's a pretty racist and arrogant term. As though you know that you're better than others, but you'll compromise and "tolerate" them. I, however, have absolutely no tolerance for those who cheerlead for criminals and crooks and attack others by bringing up their dead loved ones or publicly wishing that they die in a terror attack. Those trannies need to suffer slow torture in Abu Ghraib.

1. Socialism and Communism actually arise out of greed for power and envy of others' success, not out of a desire to help others...
2. It is easy (and for lazy people) to look like ahero espousing ideas and programs to "help" people and "help" the environment etc... with other people's money (i.e taxes).
3. Sometimes it makes me insane to be reminded of the ignorance of the average American citizen who does not see this.

So with all that blather, all you offer is Al Gore using energy? That's your great example of intolerance? Do you even know what intolerance is?

have you ever looked at the "other side" or any of your "numerous examples"...

I'm sure you haven't even bothered and just think it's all "liberal propaganda"...

how about this... I'll ignore everything you say as "conservative propaganda lies" and just believe everything the liberals say?

what? you don't think that's a good idea? but that's what you're clearly doing? just on the other side?
