Not a cell phone, but once I went to use a cordless phone and heard the conversation of two people having an affair. Somehow their conversation bled onto my line. The man was married and talking to his lover about when to meet up that night. It was pretty steamy, I listened for about 20 minutes!

It's hard not to hear as people practically scream into them.
All I've heard is complete inanities. Why people think they
have to be connected by a cell phone umbilical is beyond
me. It would be great if their conversations were interesting
but I find people only use them for personal validation.
Can't they figure out their lives on their own. My "favorite"
idiot is the chest pounding gorilla guy who talks so loud
he could be a carnival barker...usually found right behind
you in a quiet restaurant where you're trying to relax.

Well what happened to me was kinda different. I was on the land line and somehow I could hear the neighbor on the phone. So instead of hanging up and telling my friend I would call them later I shushed my friend and got some gossip on who was sleeping with whom, I was only 10 at the time so it didn't really matter to me, but it was still funny.
