Why is the nature of conservatism to be angry, selfish, & miserable?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like conservatives have anger issues. They are angry about this, angry about that. The country is falling apart...the school system is in shambles...the border is caving in...religion is disappearing...blah, blah, blah. Everything is in poor shape. Everything ticks them off. Everything is happening to them specifically. It's all about them and how everyone is trying to take something from them. They are especially cranky about money issues and think the whole world is trying to leech or sponge off them. If I was I conservative, I would shoot myself in the head and put myself out of my misery.

Just listen to the callers on conservative talk radio and you will see this pattern clear as day.

This is not the truth of course, important to read up on conservative versus liberal, also Republican versus Democrat...there are rather liberal Republicans and and rather conservative Democrats.
This is why no one should vote for the same party all the time, especially when the nation's future is at stake would be the exception.

sorry, think you're off base here. i mean i see you got the facts right i just think it's a bit backwards. how about this, why is it the nature of angy selfish and miserable people to posture as conservatives?

now, i am not a conservative (nor a liberal), but i do know folks that are that are not actually "angry, selfish, & miserable." of course there's little room for them within the ranks of liberals. don't get me wrong, liberals have their faults and indeed some are all the negative things you list as well. but it is much easier to find those sociopaths pretending to conservatism. indeed it's easier for them to be confused about the precepts of conservatism.

As usual as a left wing liberal, you don't spend any time getting the facts while the conservative base takes the time to find that info before making decisions. No one in the liberal area can support their emotion based spews because they forget their history and the history of the country. There are no anger issues in the conservative party except where it relates to liberals who have forgotten how to relate fiction and fact. Liberals lead from emotion, conservatives lead from history and facts. It's as simple as that.

You obviously have missed the surveys which show that conservatives are actually more optimistic, happier people, than liberals. We make no bones about stating the facts. The difference is that we, as conservatives, believe we can do something about it, where liberals think any problems they have are beyond their control.

You can't be conservative until you have somrthing to conserve, you can't be selfish until you have something to keep away from those you could help.

People make their own problems sometimes instead of enjoying what they have it seems to be in most peop;e's natures to be nasty mean spirited and selfish.

That's why it's so refreshing to meet a decent person.it's because it's so rare.

Those aren't conservatives. Those are Republicans. Many Republicans confuse themselves as conservatives, but you shouldn't.
