Just started Byetta, made me very sick, doctor mention upset stomach is one of the side effects but it would pass. Just took it for 1 day and realized, I couldn't travel like this, so I stop and know that I'm home need to try it again. I felt not just the upset stomach but throwing up. Is anyone takeing this and is this the norm ? thks

It was developed from the mouth of a Gila Monster. When people were bitten by Gilas, they had bad reactions, but they found their Type 2 Diabetes was remarkably better, and stayed that way for some time. Scientists managed to isolate the class of molecules that caused the reaction and started selling it as a diabetes medicine. It also causes weight loss. I was unaware of the side affects you describe, but it does seem plausible. For many people, it is a wonder drug, and most of the reports have been very positive about its use.
