just finished my freshmen year of high school and it was easier than i expected...i go to a college prep school, so the workload is big and there are lots of credits to be earned!!! the main tip to remember is to KEEP EVERYTHING...every single handout that a teacher gives is important...i would suggest buying a file cabinet for at home, and when you finish a unit, file all of your stuff...it will be very helpful when finals come around...other than that, just make sure your organized...make sure you have a daily planner(many schools provide them...if not, go to walmart) to write down all assignments and after school activities... right before bed every night, look at your planner to make sure you didnt forget everything...if you did, decide whether you should stay up late or get up early to do it....last, go to bed as early as possible...for me, it seemed like everyone thought it was cool to be up until midnight, but i prefer going to bed around 9 pm...if you are afraid that your friends will call during your early bedtime, then ask your parents to pick up and say you are out babysitting or in the shower!!!
good luck in high school...dont stress out!!!
p.s. dont worry about what boys think

There's nothing to fear. You can't really prepare. The upperclassmen may play jokes on you. At my school, the Jr's and Sr's would tell Sophomores (my HS was a 10-12 school, 9th grade was at the Jr. High) that the swimming pool was on the 3rd Floor. Ok....a swimming pool could not be on a 3rd floor and our school did not even have a swimming pool. Other than that, the upperclassmen most likely won't even notice you. There's no need to try to impress anyone. Like, I said, the older kids won't even notice you....trust me...they won't. When you're a Jr and Sr, you won't notice the Freshmen either. Just be yourself and try to make friends.

well right now the bro and bro-hoe look is in. the BEST thing you can do when entering high school is to keep up your confidence. no matter how popular or nerdy you are, someone will find a reason dislike you so my advice is to stand strong in who you are and dont let anyone get you down. you can expect for cruelty from some peole but some of the best times in your life with your friends. you can try and associate with people in every kind of group whether it be emo, goth, preppy, bros, hicks...whatever, you name it. just know who you are and stick to what you believe in. if you are confident, most people will find you attractive no matter how you look, but if you want to keep up with the top fashion in high school, go to no fear in the mall, or pac sun, tillys, anchor blue....those stores will give you a good idea of what is "in" now. i hope this helped :)

Don't worry about keeping up with the cool kids if that's not who you are. Always be able to brush off what people say and think about you, for the rest of your life. Try to start being more outgoing, it'll help you more when you get to college and know no one. Don't be nervous, becuase then you worry too much about what people are thinking of you and you're not enjoying yourself. And lastly......join a club or sport, that will help you build a strong group of friends and make you feel good about being in that sport/club.

i am going to highschool to, and i got some great advice from lots of my friends that are in highschool. One of the most important things is to not wear heels! They are said to kill lik heck when u r running from class to class. I am really nervous because i am short and have atall locker! But i found tht using locker shelves can save you from that. Also, dont be afraid to say igh to someone you just met during lunch...who knows they could be your new bff! Good Luck and i know that us freshman are gunna rock this fall!

high school is a stressful time...you will learn a lot about yourself. you have to be willing to do things you thought you could never do and put yourself out there...its hard i kno, but we all have to do it at one point. wear what you want and be who you want to be......thats the best thing. people will be mean and hurtful, but don't let them bother you. stick with close freinds and everything will be okay. have fun and study hard!
make good choices!! and don't always go with the crowd
hollister, pacsun, american eagle, delias are all good stores if you want to check them out, but like i said be who you want to be. also don't waer to much makeup...look natural.
eyeliner, lip gloss, mineral foundation, blush...just the basics!
good luck in high school
