Well, I've seen both movies, and personally think they're both great. The newest Casino Royale is full of action and impressive stunts. Guys love it. But if you admire the gentleman Bond show in the actual series (this movie and the original were never part of the series of other Bond films), this movie may come as a bit of a shock. It is very violent and shows a different side to the famous spy.
The Illusionist was a very impressive movie. It is a beautiful film, and the plot was very engaging. It delights everyone who sees it, and guys I know like to work out the mystery and look back on it.
Overall, the Illusionist is a very good movie, but action-packed Casino Royale may be more your style for a movie night with a group of guy buddies. If so, save the Illusionist for a night with your girl. You and her are sure to love it.

The Illusionist. It's interesting and some twist to it. I like it more toward the end. Casino Royale is so James Bond...I got bored watching it.

Personally I would choose The Illusionist because it's in my top 3 best movies I have ever seen.Casino Royale isn't very unpredictible honestly,but The Illusionist is definitely something you shouldn't miss.

I liked Casino Royale much better than the Illusionist. More exciting, and much more fun to watch.

The illusionist. Although it would be cool to have all of James Bond's toys, I think the ability to suspend the disbelief of the public would be a far better trick.

The whole Bond franchise is so old the producers are updating older movies. The Illusionist wins virtually be default.
