Music legend..a sort of god amungst musicians. Can't stand his stupid wife Cortney Love though. Shame he's no longer here with us..R.I.P. Kurt.

He marked the beginning of the invisible rockstar
before him, glam rock and 80's heros could be seen in clubs everywhere living it up and doing crazy things...
not so with the grunge DIY brand that Cobain and others brought to the table. This group of rockers were quiet, self thoathing minstrels who may or may not have done equally as crazy stuff but behind closed doors
what we're left with are music stars that i wouldn't recognize if they showed up at my door (bright eyes, p!atd, almost all rappers.)
maybe the grunge heros like Cobain were smarter than they played. Perhaps they were trying to make themselves more "homespun" and "human".

He made "raw" rock music popular again without a lot of the overproduction that used to permeate it. Punk rockers did something very similar. Rock music doesn't have to be complex to be good.

I have no opinion about the person. I did not like his music, but did like Foo Fighters. I think they have a less depressed sound to them than when they were Nirvana.

Very talented guy with a bad taste in women and a bad drug habit.
He was a very sad person, which led to an early death. A real tragedy!

I liked his music. But he is one of the people that couldn't be alive today or you couldn't imagine alive.
