Its a polite way to try to not make you feel bad about them being better off financially. It sucks but they are probably just trying to be nice.

money ISN'T everything. i don't have a lot of money, but i don't consider myself poor. i am rich in the fact that i have a wonderful husband and beautiful children, i have a loving family, and good health.

They are trying to tell you that you are not missing out on anything important in life by not having money. and they should know better because they have money and could make a better comparison.

Cause they are mean and they know that money isn't everything to them because they don't have to worry about it.

They say that because they have money and they don't realize how important it is in everyday life. Next time they say that to you tell them to switch places with you...maybe some dummy will actually do it.

i agree with you i never have money sometimes i feel like I'm living paycheck to paycheck i mean money is very important to me but its not everything yea I'm a little bit in debt but i have my health and love in my life so there just telling you its not everything!

Because thats what they genuinly think. money really is nothing to them. i've always believed that money doesnt become an issue until u ont have it. cut them some slack, they just dont understand.

I know how you feel, my dad always says "Money is the easiest commodity to obtain" if it's so easy to get and means so little then why don't ppl share more of it.
