Usually for acid reflux your body makes alot of acid, and you may feel kinda sick in the morning from this buildup. If you feel stinging in the back of your throat it could be from the acid coming from your stomach, it happens when the muscle in your esophagus does not close all the way thus letting acid come up, especially if you are laying down which can become serious since it can burn your lining of your throat inside. It would be a good idea to see a doctor because if it is acid reflux he can give you some medications. Good luck

This book is probably the most informative and practical guide on the subject of acid reflux and heartburn that I have ever read https://tr.im/acidrefluxnaturally
I was prescribed Lansoprazole which was brilliant but after two years of aching joints, extreme muscle pain which the doc gave me cortisone jags for, with some research I discovered the drug Lansoprazole was causing these rare side effects but it was I who diagnosed it NOT my doctor, I came off the drug 2 months ago, changed my diet and discovered just eating an apple stops any acid reflux, I eat an apple before bed, brilliant no acid, any time I feel the slightest sign of reflux I simply eat an apple. Apple juice is not that good nor is anything else I have tried including honey at stopping reflux.

First of all there is no such thing as "acid reflux disease", thats what the F.D.A calls it so you have to take a little purple pill the rest of your life, acid reflux disease is another word for money to those people,It sound like all you have is just like you said HEARTBURN ,what you need to do is take a spoonful of vinegar once a day for about two or three days and the pain will stop,it may burn going down, but once it hits your stomach you will feel the fire go out believe me I have the same problem well I did,not anymore because thats what I do and now I don't get heartburn anymore

Well, that's some of the signs...also loosing your voice for no apparent reason. Heartburn at the base of your throat or when you lay down. Talk to your doctor or go to an ENT. The ENT doctor can put a small scope up your nose and down your throat and can see any damage and it really isn't painful at all...they can do it right in their office. Good luck & I hope you feel better....Reflux can really be a pain!!

Yes, Barbie is exactly right. It is worse when you lie down soon after eating. Acid comes up from the stomach and really burns and tastes awful.
