I am about 18 credits away from a bachelor's. I've been out for kind of some time and started to live an ordinary life. 18 credits now very difficult 18 credits then very easy. Worth it to try to obtain. My attitude is Fu*k it most of the time, but then sometimes i'm like I should go back.

totally depends on what you want to do. If you are going to need a degree for future growth, then it would be worth it. Some fields require it...if your career path does not seem to take you there, then it probably isn't worth it.

However...there is lots to consider....if you are working for a compnay that will help with tuition, then i say go to night schol, earn 3 credits a whcak and get yoru degree. My company pays for our schooling as long as we get decent grades. I was in the same boat as you except I had two years to make up for. each course took 5 weeks...I went online.

With 18 credits to take, that would be 6 classes....30 weeks. If it would help you in salary reviews, or in promotions, then it would be wroth it eventually. And, it never hurts to ahve on your resume....

but if you are self employed and happy....to heck with it.

If you went to a community college, the problem is that you can usually only get 60 credits transferred to a 4-year university (even if you took many more than that), so you would need another 60 or so to actually get a bachelor's degree. I don't want to discourage you; I think that especially if you have kids, it sets a good example to go back and finish wat you started, but know that you can't just take 18 units and get a bachelor's degree.

If you are having a decent life, there's no point in wasting money, time, and energy going back to school.
