This is not intended to be a bad question of any kind. I'm just making reference to what I see on TV, newspapers, magazines,.. even on eBay. You often get to see people saying things like "pray for our soldiers", or "God is with us".
But, my question is: Do you actually sit there and pray, or go to church and workship, for our soldiers?
Like I said, this just intended to be nice question, a mere curiosity for me.
Thanks

Yes I pray for the soilders in Iraq.
I do not go to church just to pray for the soilders. I pray for lots of people in lots of places. I pray for people when i'm at home, at work, in the car, and many other locales.
You go to church to worship God, you can pray to god for someone anywhere. God will hear you.
Peace.

I keep good thoughts in my head, but its not like I am actively praying or wishing for their well-being. This trend came about as a response to people that were blaming the troops for the war, and making statements saying they wished all the troops were killed so we would have to leave Iraq. The movement of praying for or supporting troops came as a response to that terrible mentality.

Hmm...good question. I wanted to say yes automatically, but then I realized that I don't really pray for them too much. Thanks for reminding me. I'll start now.
I think mainly the people who pray are the ones with relatives or friends over there. Everyone else may be saddened when they find out someone fro the US died in Iraq, but they really don't pray for them. It's become a mere statement "We will continue to hope & pray for those serving our country in Iraq." People say it for encouragement, but don't actually do anything but the hope part.

Every Saturday at mass we say a prayer to the GI's in Iraq, my own grandson was there with the Air force for one year, now he's spent three years there as an electrician in the civilian factor.

I include our troops in my daily prayers in the morning and at night. We say a special prayer for them in our church and during the day, I frequently think of them and say another prayer for them.

I pray for the innocent Iraqis who have to watch their country get torn apart and who have been getting killed for no good reason for the past 4+ years.
