what happens when this happens? The company had a certain time-frame to mail settlement ck by certified mail, but, haven't rec'd it.

First, contact EEOC. Second, I do believe you might be able to collect interest.

Now, if EEOC can't resolve the issue, take them to court. Hire a lawyer (more than likely they will be responsible for court costs and lawer fees).

Always check with a lawyer first.

Contact the EEOC first and find out what your rights are and where you need to file if the check is late. Make sure there is no grace period or anything like that.

Sue the company. This is a simple collection case. You don't need the services of a lawyer. You can go to the small claims court and the court employees will give you the forms you need to fill out.
