Like all democrats, they promise so much and then never deliver and then blame it on whoever is president. Hopefully, perhaps, the American public is getting wise to liberal democrats.

People wanted the war in Iraq to stop
Democrats backed down
I'm a democrat who is ashamed to have Harry Reid as a leader, Pelosi isn't much better.
Neither have a backbone and they haven't stopped the earmarks, special interest control or accomplished anything.
I don't care if they have a slim margin in congress. Use the media be creative get the people involved
There are no differences between the parties anymore
Get into office, get the funding to stay there, get rich from the corporate and special interest groups, do their bidding
Shaft the Americans and make sure you don't listen to them.
That basically sums it up.

Do the 49 Republicans in the Senate get a free pass?
Let's see, we're still in Iraq, the Democrats gave in to the president. The God-awful immigration bills. The constant bickering and whining from both parties. Do I need to go on?

The Democrats ran on a platform of ending the war. When push came to shove, they didn't want anyone to be able to say they 'underfunded the troops' and they caved like a house of cards. If they had enough or a majority to override a veto, they probably would have pushed it through.
What's funny is that the dems have a SLIM majority in congress, and people are always talking about "The democratic congress" as if the republican congressmen are blameless...

It's not so much a thrill of a "Democrat" Congress, it's just that Congress is worthless. The trend is a continuation of the trend previous.
After all: a trend is a trend is a trend, but where and when will it bend?
"Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself." -Mark Twain
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

#1 reason....the immigration bill...people watched as they tried to force feed America a bill that Americans obviously did not want...and congress (until yesterday) did not care. Most of the Dem's demonstrated that they did not care even yesterday! (Republican numbers also dropped to extreme lows when they tried to do this bill in 2006).
...further Congress is not doing much of anything people want. The Dem's made alot of promises and have failed to deliver on a single one. So in the end..the Dem's have their own people mad at them, have the Republicans not liking them (of course), and have managed to badly anger everyone else in between.

maybe because our system of a two party government is really pretty much the same on both sides and people are too busy cutting each others throats over abortion and gay marriage to realize that there are real issues that are being passed over?
we the people lost.

The Dems wanted things the majority of American people didn't. They want to change things but had no fresh ideas, just attacks.
