not sure where the above posters are getting their numbers but there is no way there are 55 casinos on the strip.
casinos on the strip (right side):
1.Mandalay Bay/The Hotel
2.Luxor
3.Excalibur
4.New York New York
5.Monte Carlo
6.City Center (under construction)
7.Cosmopolitian (under construction)
8.Bellagio
9.Caesars Palace
10.Mirage
11.Treasure Island
12.Frontier (closing on 15 July, Plaza opening 2011)

16.Stratosphere (although offically not on the strip as the strip ends at Sahara, but most count it anyway)
