it was about 5 inches long and grey. it had a funny shaped head and it played with toys like a real dolphin would. i cant find any thing about it on the internet. if anyone knows anything about it or a link to where i can read about it, it would be greatly apretiated.

It could also be Mormyrus tapirus - see the third photo down: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWSubWebIndex/mormyrids.htm They are related to the elephant nose (same family).

This Freshwater Dolphin fish is a close relative of the more familiar Elephant nose, but is characterised by its rounder nose, without the long proboscis/nose as seen in the Elephant nose, and has a base colour of grey. Freshwater Dolphins are quite hardy but it is essential to include live Black worms or frozen Blood worms in their diet.
