yes, buy a verizon or an alltel phone, those phones works flawlessly on the Miphone network. Buy an unlocked on so that you dont have to spend any money getting it unlocked.

Cable and Wireless is advertising their call the USA, Canada and UK new service for $999, apparently you get 2,500 hours per month. Good luck.

Yes you can do that. Take the phone to a megafone outlet. They will unlock it for a fee and put it on their system for about $US40 for the first month and $900 monthly after. Cable and Wireless is offering a similar service for J$1000 monthly, but it can't beat megafone. Their call time is capped at 40 hours monthly, while megafones calls are unlimited......In Ja, call 1-888-megafone for details.

BTW if you do a search here on Answers you will get more details. A lot of people have been asking about the megafone service. It is great!

You could only do that if the phone service your trying to use offers CDMA coverage and then you would have to buy an unlock code. They range anywhere from .99 to like 30.00 depending on who you buy from. Honestly I don't think CDMA even works anymore really.
