All of my friends keep saying i am going goth b/c i paint my nails dark colors(black,dark blue,dark red) ????

Not necessarily. Black nails have recently become a big fashion trend. Look at Lindsay Lohan. Many wouldn't call he Goth, but she has been frequently sporting black nails. So have other celebrities. I even wear dark dark red nail polish with shimmer on my toes..it looks hot. I love the contrast since I have very light skin.

just because you paint your nails black doesn't mean your goth. that is such an annoying stereotype! painting your nails black is just like painting your nails any other color! however, if you were to dress in all black from head to toe, and have the black nail polish on...than...i would say...ok, your goth. just having your nails painted black, doesn't necessarily mean your goth. just think...if i started painting my nails light pink...does that automatically make me a girly girl...? no, it doesn't. it's just a color with a stereotype.

Not at all. i have this awesome dark purple color from OPI called Linkin Park After Dark, check it out if you like dark colors. But just remember light for the summer and dark for the fall. Unless your going to an evening event, then dark is fine.

i think black could make your nails look a little gothic but i dont think that dark blue or red does.

there is nothing wrong with wearing black nail polish. while many people used to think that meant one was gothic, that is no longer the case. today, even the stars are seen sporting black nail polish since it has become quite fashionable. i wouldn't worry about it and just do what you want to do!

i paint my nails black and bright colors because of how i feel
plus i like noticing how my nails stand out
tell them u aint and they should stop sayin u r if it feels like its pressuring u in any way
cauz good friends wouldnt really do that and carry on

Uhm, no.
Black isn't always "goth or emo" or whatever. People have been painting their nails black since nail polish was first invented. Just like people have been wearing black; dying their hair black etc. for waay more years.

haha i paint them black and its not cuz I'm trying to be gothic.... everyone has their own likes and dislikes

No, I think so at all. It all depends on how you feel! If you want to wear dark colors on your nails then go ahead, I do and feel great. Dont worry about what other people think!

I personally think if you have black figernails and dress like a ridiculous goth person then yeahhh, but if you have black fingernails and you wear preppy clothes then I think you are find. Me and my friends all had black nails...it was kinda cool looking with like 7 or 8 of us.
