Sweet cherries really don't can well any. You can freeze them but they get somewhat mushy when they thaw. Eating too many of them in one setting will make you sick... so... why not take about half of them tie them up in some Saran wrap, tie some ribbon around the top and give them to a neighbor? The ones you keep will be all the more delicious for having shared the rest!

No kitchen is complete without a vacuum packer. Fill to/Use only half the bag. Keep in the frig for a day then freezer for a day. Defrost, and the pits will come out easier and the meat is softer and juicer You can leave in freezer for a month.
Then use you fave cherry pie recipe.
But here's what I like to do:
The same recipe you would use for a pineapple upside down cake, only use cherries and one of those little cans of pineapple juice in the bottom. Yummy for the tummy.

Yes, you can freeze them.
Spread cherries with stems intact in a single layer on a baking sheet. Freeze until firm. Pack into freezer-proof containers or plastic freezer bags; remove excess air, cover or fasten tightly and freeze.

Make a pie, smoothie, sundae, have a small backyard party or some party and dip them in chocolate or just put them in a bowl for people to snack on.

Mmm...I love cherries! Yes, you can freeze them. Make sure you use freezer zip lock bags and they'll be good for a long time. You could probably also make freezer jam out of them. It's super easy and delicious! :)
