Me and My husband was having a disagreement. I have heard in the past that lighting was natures number one killer, but he disagrees. So please tell me what you believe? thanks!

Natures number one killer would have to be human beings.
Human beings have wipe out more animals, fish, plants and insects, as well as other human beings than anything else on this planet.
Human beings also have the abiity to destory the planet in a wide variety of ways and they seem so intent upon doing it.
Lightening, hurricanes, earthquake, flood, famine, droughts, etc., don't even compare with the nueclear waste and pollution human beings make, or the forrest human beings have destroyed, the oceans and rivers human beings have ruined, the air human beings have filled wtih vile chemicals.
No doubt about it. Human beings are Nature's number one killers on this planet.

2. Killer of what? What time period? Didn't a massive meteor strike earth millions of years ago and blanket the planet with ash, blotting out the sun and killing millions of species of plant and animal? Didn't a tsunami wipe out thousands and thousands Thailand and India two years ago? Does cancer count? Aids? Drought? Katrina? I'm sure that hurricanes kill more often.

I think if you are talking natural forces, they kill far more people and at one time as well, but if you are talking animal, then the mosquito with malaria, and also hippos kill more people every year than any other wild animal, I suppose this only includes mammals? Hope this helps

HUMANS. Look around you, how many things can you count?
Believe it or not, humans are G-R-E-E-D-Y. All for me, me, me. We caused Global Warming, pollution, deforestation, and so many other things. Have you ever heard about fossil fuels? Coal, oil, gas? They trap so much CO2 and Global Warming and that is like, seriously killing nature
man, I could write a book on this!
