i am from the usa and i would say the national food for me is pizza.
i live in florida and i would say pork tenderloin with collard greens and field peas best represents the region for me
breakfast would be eggs, catfish and cheese grits with a biscuit with butter and honey

My parents are from Italy- the region is Reggio Di Calabria and best national food represents is pasta, cheese, bread, and of course desserts. For drinks it's wine

Sadly, I am going to say the Quarter Pounder with cheese. The average American has disgusting eating habits, and Oregonians are no exception. Were Ito pick a HEALTHY local food, I would venture a nice grilled salmon. :)
