100% = 1. The way you calculate percentage is to take the percentage and then divide it by 100.
So, 33% = 33/100 = .33 (note the decimal).

If you wanted to calculate a certain percentage of something, just take the value you want the percent of and divide it by the total. Multiply by 100 and you have yourself a percentage.
For example, if you had 8 oranges and 4 apples, the percentage of oranges (of the total number of fruits) would be
8 oranges / 12 fruits = ~0.67 * 100 = 67% (approximately)

so it can be written infinite ways
such as
x/x or 10/10 or 43/43
