I love going to a restaurant because I always enjoy food more when I have not prepared and cooker it, and no that is not because I am a bad cook, it is simply because it is so much more of a treat to be served than to serve. It gets even better when you don't have to pay the bill because your dinner companion see fit to treat the daily chef of the household!!

I'm a guy. I think the answer is, because when we stay home, we expect THEM to put the meal together! (No, not a universal truth, just a tendency.)

don't generalize ! my partner often offers to take me out and i'm happier to stay at home and cook him a nice meal.
