Yes, a person's voice actually improves in the small, confined space of the shower. When you sing in an open area, you "basically only hear your voice as it is produced." However, in the shower, the sound waves reflect off the walls, producing a much richer sound, improved bass, and more volume.
Some theories are less scientific. The book "Sounding the Silence" believes people are inclined to sing in the shower because they feel safe and relaxed. "The quiet solitude creates a space in which our spirit can freely express itself." Or, to put it another way, a shower's privacy allows people to relax and let loose.
Oh, and the bruises' color has to do with the way the blood vessels broke.

I don't know that there's a scientific reason, but singing in the shower sounds better than out of it because of the echo effect you get in the shower. You can hear yourself in a different way. Bruises? The color of the bruise depends upon where it is on the body and how severe the bruise is. What happened? Did the shower head fall on you while you were singing??

No, I don't think there is a scientific reason we sing in the shower. I just think that we get bored and alone that singing is the only way that can make us joyous while showering.
Bruises are different colors depending the color of the skin of the person or the way it was bruised in the first place.

ok we sing in the shower because we like the way our voices sound as the echo off the walls
bruises are different colors, depending on how bad it is
a bruise is when blood pools under the skin after being bumped or poked, if you bumped it hard, there will be more blood...giving the bruise a darker color :)

I don't know about pure science reasoning but some showers have good acoustics and we sound better than usual in there and want to belt it out. Plus it gives us something to do while we're completing a boring everyday routine.
Bruises are different colours based on the person's skin colour and the severity of the bruise. It also changes colour as it fades.

I think that the acoustics in most showers is far superior to other parts of the house. Anyone can sound like a professional singer!
As far as the bruises? I don't know...

Showers come in different colors because people have different tastes in bathroom furnishings.
People sing better when they are being bruised because most people will try to do better with this type of motivation.

I don't know how scientific this is,or whether there even can be a scientific reason for singing in the shower, but I think it's due to the absence of stage fright.

I've heard that the acoustics in showers makes you sound better than you are.
The different color bruises are just the different stages of dying blood.

Singing in the shower is heathly for your voice b/c of the steam. different color brusies are caused by the depth of the broken vessel.
