I have-- my dad likes deep sea fishing. Its better than his pheasant stew when he warns us to watch out for the lead shot!

I have never eaten shark steak and I do have to say that it sounds good. I hate the possibility of breaking a tooth over some Pheasant... I would like to say that not all sharks are endangered species also.

I like shark steak because it has a fibrous texture but still falls apart. I also like that it does not taste like chicken. To me it tastes more like swordfish. Big fish taste different than smaller one. I also like it because it is not as fatty as salmon.
I agree about having to look for lead shot. Some states like Louisiana make you hunt using steel shot because they want to reduce the risk of lead poison in the environment. The bad thing about steel shot is if you bite down hard on it you can break a tooth. But I guess that beats led poison.

Shark-steak .. good
"shark-fin soup" -never!! I've heard horror stories about fishing boats "fin-ing" sharks and throwing the fin-less shark back into the ocean to die ... smacks of animal abuse, so I choose not to have anythintg to do with "shark-fin" anything
Killing to eat is one thing, but maiming for specialty market is barbaric

One of things from the sea that I like is shark steaks. It was awesome, I really wish that I had one right now!!!!!!!

Yeah, shark is very good to eat. I first had it about 15 years ago and I've had it again every time I've found it on a menu.

That sounds good. Some fish "products" such as fake scallops are from sharks. Does your dad want to adopt me in time for dinner. ;-)

I've eaten it many times.....If you order a white fish at a restaurant there is a good chance that it is shark... my favorite fish is barracuda which is hard to find unless you catch it yourself....

most good seafood restaurants have shark on the menu. it is a very delicious firm steak with a mild flavor.
