You have some interesting answers. Me thought you were talking about a car battery !
You need, if the same as mine, a 23A ,12V battery, available at most electrical stores and leading supermarkets.
Best take the old one with you when buying, and get an extra one for spare.

don't worry i know the answer to this just dye your hair brown get in the car and go get some new ones. then come home by the time you get back you should know how to use the fookin light switch

at least you're not left in the dark.
ring your mum and get her to bring some batteries. and if she hasn't got any she can come up anyway and turn them down for you.
