Although I have heard songs with both kinds of endings that I like. Its seems to go with the decade the song was made. In the 80's, the fade was big, now it seems proper endings are more the thing...

A little bit of both, I suppose. I like the faded ones 'cause it's a smooth transition from music to silence. I sometimes find that the abrupt endings sound better in harder, faster songs.

i love fading songs its gives the ending an ending ,ones that dont fade sound like someones just stopped it immediately unless the song can take the abrupt ending.

It would be nice if "Here Comes the Bride" faded out, because then it would be more symbolic of marriage.
