well my problem is my brother acts like a slob infront of her.he dresses like he is homeless{which i know he has better cloths then the ones he wears}i just don't know how to get him to act and dress better infront of her.

Is it really you're problem? If she didn't like it she would've already said something to him. If you still want to say something, don't criticize but say something like, "I think it would be really nice if you wore nicer clothes for your girlfriend." I think you should just stay out of it.

You are his sister so I am sure he values your opinion. Tell him like it is...he has an amazing girlfriend and he is acting and looks like a slob and then help him get it together. If he is offended give him some time and then let him know that you are only trying to help because you love him. Maybe he has already just gotten overly comfortable with her and that should never happen not even in marriage...that's when stuff starts to go bad.

I realize you love and care for him so you want the best for him in his life but hes old enough to dress himself in the morning whether clean or dirty clothes. You know you brother has the potential to look his best, but I think the decision is up to him and he will eventually end up doing and wearing what he wants.
Unless you my boyfriends sister, then you can tell him to clean up a little bit. I need all the help I can get just to get him in the shower. Ugh.

The real question is, does it bother his girlfriend? In some cases women prefer to have a messy boyfriend so that they can take care of them and clean them, like a pet in a sense. Or it's possible that your brother is trying to get rid of her. My suggestion would be to talk to him about it. Ask him whats up and why he choses to do the things he does. Then if you ever get the girlfriend alone, ask her what she thinks about it. It may be that it works for them. On the other hand your brother is over 18 and can make choices for himself, so if you interfere then he might take it as a personal attack. It really depends on the situation I guess.

If she is still with him that means she loves him for him, not his apperance. If she has a problem with the way he is, then she will let him know.
You should ask her first if his actions bother her. if she says yes, then you can talk to your brother. Just tell him that you & her talked and she doesn't like the way he is slobbish or his clothes.... if he loves her ( and is not affended ) then he will straighten up.
But you don't want to get too involved becuz if something happens to them, you don't want your brother to blame you and be mad at you!!!

If he wants to act like this in front of her, then so be it.
Apparently she doesn't have a problem with it otherwise she would've ended it.
He's just comfortable around her, and that's a good thing.
And the whole snobby thing--if you're younger than him and he acts snobby around you infront of her, there's your answer.
I do the same thing.
I'm mean to my 10 yr old sister in front of my boyfriends, because it's sort of embarassing.
I wouldn't worry about it too much.
She's not your girlfriend.

How does the gf feel about the way he dresses? If she is not worried about it...then why are you?
If she is, then she can either say something to him about it and ask him to change or she can walk away from him until he does change.
He's a big boy...you cannot change him if he doesn't want to change.

Uhh.. actually why would that even concern you? That is your brother's life not yours. I mean yeah i understand care for the brother blah blah, but you are trying to get him to dress better for his girlfriend?? How Stupid!! I mean if he wants to dress like that then she must like him for the who he is regardless of what he wears. Whenever you have a boyfriend that dresses like that, then you can complain and whine about how you don't like it
