We are concerned about the fires over there at the moment-does anyone know which islands and how much of Athens and the airports are affected?
Thankyou.

Of course it is safe, dont worry, the airport of Athens is one of the most organised airports in the world, with a great security offered to the passengers..
Happy holidays in Kos, in the island of Hippocrates...

Don't worry dear, there is no problem. Most of the fires are out now, plus they never affected airports or towns. Unfortunately, the bastards who put them only aim at destroying forests far from the towns. to make sure they can't be extinguished easily. Kos had no fires - it doesn't have forests either - and Athens had no fire near it, it was the nearby mountain that got burnt. It's an ecological disaster, but trust me, there is absolutely no problem for you going to Athens and Kos, you'll have a great time.

Hello dear!

Yes, absolutely!
The Athens Airport has been built in a flat area, an area used to grow vineyards since antiquity and villages were around, thus no forests in the vicinity!

yes it's safe to fly. they have gotten all the fires under control. and the fires are always by the forest not by district areas. enjoy
