If you're anywhere near Chicago, you're in reach of dozens of good schools, most of them affiliated with working theatres. I'd go to see a lot of theatre and then check out the program of the theatre that's doing the kind of work that really moves you. From personal experience, I can tell you that both Victory Gardens and Second City have very good programs.

Only a professional can determine if you are good at acting and singing, such as a Talent Agent or other professional.
Ask your acting teacher for the name of a studio in Illinois? Do you want a studio in the entire state of Illinois, or a particular city?
