does anyone remember the brand of baby doll that you customized their hair, name, clothes...and you called a number to register their date of birth etc???

It's "American Girl" and they are still selling. I get catalogs every Xmas. Unless you mean those ugly "Cabbage Patch Kids." I haven't seen those for 20 years.
