ok well im a kid in the 9-14 range adni have a very strong resume and i really need an agent to represent me. i dont live in new york so there is no way for agents to see me perform locally. i have sent my headshot and resume in to several different agencies and there is no response. many many people in the biz around my age have told me that dropping off packets at agencies is how they got there agents. i did that and there is still no response. any good advice about what to do?

I for the most part agree with fixing... It is a little unprofessional, The best thing I would say is to make an appointment with the agency of your choice, (preferebly not ones you have sent things to) and make an investment with your parents and go out there and audition for them live. That is always the best way. Sometimes, and I know this from experience, they will look at your picture, say we have too many girls who look just like this, not even read your resume and throw it out. Definitely the best way is to do it in person.

Good luck

No, never do a "drop off". If you've sent to an agency and haven't heard anything back you just have to let it go. If you get an updated headshot feel free to send that again but that's about all you can do. Agents don't go out of their way for people they have no interest in, that's just the way it is. It is very unprofessional to just show up at an agents office to drop something off and they probably won't accepting. It's frustrating but all you can do is stick to mailings.

If you did not get a response it's because they don't have an interest in you and can't use you in their Talent Agency.
They may have too many that look like you, in your age-range.
No response means NO INTEREST!
