My car (Mustang Convertible) has been sitting in the yard for 3 weeks b/c I had surgery. Went to get in today and there are Hundreds of ants. Black & Red ants. I went and vaccuumed it out; but another hundred popped up within minutes. I have leather seats. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them?

spray around the outside of the car with ant killer so no new ants can get in, then keep vacuming until there are no more ants. Also you might want to move the car to a different location where the ants wont find it, there was probably some food in the car that the ants were hauling back to their colony.

First park your car where it is furthest away from trees and brush from now on. Take a vinegar and water solution , put in spray bottle, and spray all the non porous areas of car (cup holders, dashboard, leather seats too, and etc) and wipe down. Buy some Terro at any local drug store. It this liquid gel stuff you squeeze out dime sized amounts on the perforated tabs, thats poison to ants when they eat it. Place in corner where floor mats are an on top of dashboard and other areas (make sure its level and the gel won't drip off of tab). I might take up to 48 hrs for them to disappear.
Also make sure never to leave any drinks in the car, and its best not to eat in there either. Check if maybe one of your windows are not rolled all the way up. That happened to me once.

Go to the hardware store like Lowe's, or K-Mart Walmart and look int the section of bug sprays, you might want to call first and ask to talk to someone about what you are trying to do and get a feel to what is out there, sorry about your surgery, hope you get better real soon!!

i think maybe sprinkle in some sevin dust 5 or 10 depending on how bad they are. that should do the trick. by the way ,keep it up 'till they are gone if 1 time don't do the trick. then vacuum it out dead ants and all.

OK, next time dont park ur car there, and 2nd of all, spray the outside with bug spray. vacuum the ants up 1 last time, and that should fix it.

Black Pepper or the hottest better you can find. Put this on the floor of the car, leave it there for the day and sure they will have gone by the evening. It wont kill them but it will move them on
