I don't think so but you might be held as a suspect, the cops may think you know something they don't.

It's not illegal to wear one out in public, you may not be allowed to wear into certain buildings. But why would one want to wear a gas mask anyways?

You can wear whatever you want in public. Why would it be illegal? Crazy maybe, but not illegal.
