Where do you live? Without that information, no one here can answer your question. Are you in India? England? Canada? The United States? You need to provide more information, or better yet... talk to an attorney about it! Good luck.

Anyone can file for a divorce. You just need to contact a lawyer ASAP. Most towns have inexpensive people who can help you file the paperwork. Or, you can go down to the county courthouse and tell them you want to file for divorce.

If you can afford it, it's important to get a lawyer as soon as possible. There are many good things that get in motion once the paperwork with filed with the court.

States have different laws about divorce, so that's about all I can give at this point. Good luck.

All depends on the state you live in. In Indiana, where I live...I was separated almost a year before I filed for a divorce. I was told by my lawyer that I had to first file for a separation. Which I had never done. I told her we were separated already almost a year and I was told. It wasn't a legal separation. So, I had to pay 200.00 and file a legal separation....leaving my husband on my health insurance policy. As I couldn't remove him till I showed proof of my DIVORCE. The separation had to last three months. So in that period....He could of racked up medical bills....I would have been responsible for, as it is my insurance. I hated that fact. So when the three months were up I filed and got my divorce quickly. I was told that the separation was to give us a cooling off time....and maybe end up staying together. Well, isn't a year long enough? No, not in my state and I believe the REAL reason was cause they have to earn their 200.00 for the filing of the separation, which I think sucks....Good luck to you. Far as her leaving you....that is considered abandonment, and by law you file for the divorce as such. You will not have a problem in this regard....She left, and its your house now.....You ought to be able to divorce her even IF you don't know her whereabouts.

You have to file a divorce petition through a lawyer. But how will you do if you don't know her whereabouts? Have you given a police complaint when she left in June 22, 2006? As per Indian Law, if a couple don't have any communication between them continuously for one full year, they are eligible to apply for a divorce petition. At any rate you need immediate legal protection from a lawyer.

Get youself a solicitor double quick, for one she can sell the house, but by rights you have the rights to claim half the profits, and also she abandonded you, after a two year split you can get a divorce, i'm going through a divorce after being apart for two years, do not waste time, and go for custody of your daughter that way your wife can not take her out of the country, or out of school.

Yes, and when you speak to the judge just tell them she has been gone a year and you have no way of reaching her or contacting anyone who knew her. They'll post it on the door or in the paper for 30 days and then give you your divorce.

Go to an attorney specializing in family law. You can find one in Yellow Pages. Most attorneys give you free consultation. An attorney will tell you what to do.
If you have to hire an attorney, it will cost you thousands of dollars, but it's worth it for the sake of your child.
You'll be completely lost and confused without an attorney.

You need to get a lawyer and file for abandonment. You can still get a divorce if you can't find your wife.
