We do care. Democrats make it Seem like they do to control the voting rights of minorities by telling them Republicans don't care. We just don't equate hand outs with really caring.

Actually I would say republicans care and respect minorities more than democrats. I think minorities are equal, they are people, and are just a capable of learning, or doing a job as anyone else is. Do I think minorities deserve special rights? NO....do I think they deserve to treated equally, oh hell yeah. It has been proven that the war on poverty has only created more poverty. Equality creates equality.

So, just because we feel that those who are in minorities can take care of themselves we don't care for them as much? "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."
We should help make everyone less dependent on government, instead of hammering into their heads that all they can do is be fed by the government. This is worst with the minorities, with the liberals constantly saying (basically) "You are all to worthless to work and have fulfilling lives, so just take your welfare and complain about racism..."

We do care, we just do not try to buy their votes with promises of free programs. WE would rather teach people to have self respect and to work for what they get, and reward them for their efforts. Democrats feel that give away programs are the answer when they are not. You help people by teaching them how to help themselves. I do not know about you but feel better about myself after a good days honest work. Nothing in life is free! Sometimes it is bought at the price of your self respect and personal dignity!

I think they care about them differently. Republican ideology tends to focus on the rights of individuals over the rights of groups of individuals. Democrats tend to look more at groups of the population as a whole. Some describe the GOP as more theoretical and the Dems as more practical. Both want the same thing for society, but they don't agree on how to get there.

Maybe you should check and see how many minority's Clinton and the other dems put in their administration. The only time I see them with minority's is when they are wanting votes. They have convinced many that they are for minority's but giving them wefare instead of jobs is not the answer.

I think a lot of republicans, myself included, just believe in the literal definition of "equality". I don't believe that certain groups should get special treatment just because they are of a certain race or sex or whatever. Everyone should have equal access to assistance when they need it based on their situation. And entrance to colleges and hiring for jobs should be based on prior performance records, test scores, experience and skills only - not on minority status. We should be color blind. No one should be denied anything because of their race. And no one should receive anything because of their race.

You must be kidding. The only reason you think democrats care is because they will say anything to win you over. Who do you think started the whole 9/11 conspiracy?

EDIT: Isnt everybody treated equally? Why should minorities get special treatment?

Republicans care more about minorities than Democrats do

Which party advocates victimhood and dependence? That's not "caring". Just the opposite.

Wrong. Republicans set up a special session of congress for an African American man after Democrats refused to allow him speak.

Do You Think It Is Right For Democrats To Refuse To Allow An African-American To Talk To Congress?

"Democrats are putting undocumented workers ahead of African-Americans. Democrats are proving again they don't truly care about Americans. Democrats just pretend they care about people."
