Yes, it's too young.
I don't believe the myth that teenagers are having sex because "their hormones are raging". Maybe boys are, and they are more curious, but I don't remember wanting to have sex as a teenager.
I do remember peer pressure to have sex though.
And looking back, I'm sure that most of the kids in my school were virgins, I just didn't realize it.
13 is way too young. You have your whole life to have lots of sex, and to be honest, it's not as good as everyone pretends. It hurts, some young guy will not know what he's doing, and I think most women will tell you their first time was a big disappointment.
Why give yourself away?
Every time you have sex with someone you're not in love with, you give a piece of your dignity away. They've seen you naked, for gosh sake.
Sex is only enjoyable when you are in love.
Wait until you are in love with a mature responsible person, who will appreciate you as the beautiful person you are.
Love your self first.

Thats way to young. Who cares what ppl at school, if your friends jump off a cliff, would you jump too,,no you won't. I'd say wait til your ready and that you are sure that this is what you want and there's no turning back and that your with a guy who loves you and treats you right and that doesn't pressure you..and that your doing this because you want to and not have too.. I was 22 the first time because i was ready and the man i love treated me right and we're still together and still going strong..And also don't forget that girls your age are not careful because they don't use protection and get pregnant..

I think 13 is to young, I was 15 and now I think; Damn, I was so stupid I should have waited instead of giving into Pier-pressure!
Please wait! Just because everybody else is doing it does NOT mean you have to. Be your own person do want You feel is right. A word of advice if you do have sex be smart use a condom and make sure you READ the instructions.

I waited until I was 20. I know it sounds hard to believe. 13 is way too young! Close friends of mine were 17 when they had sex. From all that I've seen, there's no such thing as "casual" sex. It complicates relationships, and can break down a young person's self-esteem.

Thirteen is WAY too young. I'm 17 and Im still a virgin. Girls that have sex at your age will probably keep having sex with lots of different guys all throughout highschool, but one day, they will regret it. When you're my age and you hear about little kids like you having sex, doing drugs and drinking and stuff, it sounds ridiculous...when I was that age, my friends and I just hung out, and there was no pressure for sex. You are far too young, and you'll definetly regret it if you had sex just because your friends are. Girls that have sex that young seem like sluts to me...its all for attention. Don't buy into it. Sex will be much better if you wait.

At your age, it is rape. No matter what arguments you want to make about personal maturity, in the eyes of the law you are incapable of consenting to sexual activity. So yes, 13 is too young.
And I waited until I was 18. I had a willing partner a couple of years before that, but I told him point-blank that I was going to wait because no matter what either of us said, if the two of us were caught having sex, he would be automatically guilty of rape, and while I don't think the state I lived in at the time had it, where I am now would also require him to register as a sex offender. Ten years of ostracization, just for getting his rocks off a couple years sooner than the state would have liked.
