Well, I don't usually go in for the whole "coins for wishes thing" but I do have to say that if my wish could include a vanishing act for all the Yahoo trolls I would give a heavily weighted $50 bill a toss into a well...

Nah. I haven't thrown any money in a wishing well since I was younger but, when I used to, I only threw in a penny no matter how big or small the wish was. To be honest, I never really took wishing wells too seriously!

I say it depends on how generous you are! I don't think the wishing well grants your wish only because you gave her a quarter instead of a penny! If you believe then believe that it well grant the wish with a penny

I don't. Pennies are for wishing wells (though I'll throw in larger coins if I'm out of pennies). Quarters are for bribing the fairies and/or gremlins in my house to return my car keys within the next ten minutes. Especially shiny quarters.

i think a penny works best. i dont think you need to change the amount of money. but use a quarter or a penny. i think they are suppoesed to be the best two coins to use in a wishing well. and i hope you get the thing that you REALLY want. best of luck.

I appeared this question up using fact i substitute into gazing an episode of cops and that they stopped a homeless guy walking down the line using fact somebody caught him stealing the substitute from the fountain. They made him placed it back an almost immediately as quickly as they have been pronounced as back over there using fact the comparable guy did it back. I, myself, don't ever throw my substitute in fountains and wells using fact there isn't any effect or product afterwards. in my view, once you throw your earnings those, you're literally throwing your funds away. If I have been homeless and had no funds to my call, i'm able to't say that digging in a fountain wouldn't pass my techniques. i could fairly provide a homeless individual earnings individual than throw funds someplace that I have no theory the place it is going. i could desire to think of somebody like the government collects it and places it in the direction of some thing respectable like a charity yet you in no way comprehend they might purely tell u what they think of u desire to pay attention.

nope ... unless,as mentioned, you're out of pennies.
You would not want to "offend the well" by an ostentatious giving.
there used to be a 'little-known lore' in the 60's that when hitchhiliking and noone would stop for you, to throw 3 pennies over your left shoulder onto the road-shoulder, to "call" a ride.
( ... or the 3 smallest coins you had ... if you had any )
it seemed to work
different times, different world, same world

Sometimes I'll throw in a lil' more coins-but not depending on the size of the wish, but in the hopes that it'll improve the chances of my wish getting granted in the first place.
