We are planning on getting married in LV later this year and wanted to know where you go to get your license and about how much it costs and how long it takes.

You go to the marriage bureau and it cost $55. It used to be open 24/7 but they changed the hours recently. Also, make sure you check the requirements in your local state/city as you may need to register your marriage.

We got married there in May, and it was awesome.
We took the Deuce bus on a Tuesday at 5 p.m. to downtown, and walked the two blocks to the Clark County building-DO NOT WALK THERE AT DARK- there are shady characters. Take your camera-you will see all sorts of different couples there, and they have a really pretty flower arrangement you can sit by, and the picture will turn out great. We waited in line for a minute, and Joyce-I will never forget this woman-helped us. It took up 5 minutes tops to get the license.
We walked to California Hotel from there, and celebrated with a Prime Rib meal that included the meat, baked potato, green beans, all we could eat salad, and cherries jubilee. The total cost per meal...$6.99!
We married at Little Chapel of the Flowers www.littlechapel.com. They are fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot tell you enough about them, but they are awesome, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!!!
Tell your fiance DO NOT USE VEGAS HAIR-they made me late to my own wedding.

Congratulations! We were married in Las Vegas and it's very easy to get married there. You get your license at the Clark County courthouse in las Vegas and it only takes a few minutes...just show them your state ID's and a small admin fee It was like $20 or so and present your license and IDs to the chapel where you wish to be married...that's it! Plus if you call the wedding chapel and book them in advance, they will pick you up in a limo at the airport, take you to the courthouse, to your hotel, to the chapel, sightseeing and finally back to your hotel as part of the package which can be from $200 and up.
