If, its not on the door jam, which I doubt it is. Check on the spare tire cover in the trunk. That's where I(and the paint/body guys) have find the one's I/we have looked for in the past.
Good luck!

Cars manufactured by GM in that model year will have the paint code in either the spare tire wheel well or underneath the trunk lid, in some cases.
But the only gold color used on Malibu in that year was GM code 5322/33. Some body shops/paint guys will put a "WA" in front of the code or may simply call it 5322. The color is called Light Driftwood Metallic. If you bought the vehicle new and still have the invoice sticker that was on the window, this color should appear on it.

The paint code will be a 4 digit number preceded by a U such as U9495 on a small white sticker under the spare tire cover or else in the bottom of the glove compartment.

You will find the paint code on the back side of the spair tire cover. This will be a white sticker with all codes for the cars parts. On the bottom of the sticker you will find the code.It will be like 22U 22L. This tells you the upper and lower color of the car is the same.Best of luck.

Take your VIN# Vehicle Identification Number to your local Chevy dealership parts department and they can give you the paint code.
Hope this helps.
