Why is the USA so hated is it because we rule?

When I say American I mean everyone in the USA hispanics, blacks, Asians, Blacks ETC....

We're hated because we invade other countries and destroy them, and because we think we're better than everyone else, and we think everyone wants to be like us, and should be like us, if they don't want to be.
We're hated because of our idiot of a president.

It's a historical cycle - one that will continue on well into the future. People like to act like the US is the first superpower to be hated, or that we are somehow unique, but that's just not the case. What do you think the average 'German' thought about the Roman Empire? Or what the average Indian or Chinese citizen thought about the British? Did those North Africans really 'want' the French there? We just receive the lion's share of the attention now that the Soviets are gone and we're confirmed as the last true superpower.

Actually, American is loved--current Bush policies are what the world hates. The world loved Clinton, it also loved George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. As you can see, international opinion isn't based on conservatism or liberalism, it is based on logic. Also, if you truly believe the USA rules the world, you haven't paid much attention to our difficulties in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need international support, but we aren't getting it because of the current administration's arrogance. I know, we could simply drop a couple of nukes and it would be all over--it would really be all over.

Okay, so to answer the question, we don't rule the world, but we are also not hated. The only reason we feel hated is because that is all our media, and the media abroad reports. I personally have gone to South Africa, and they love us there, we Americans still have many nations on out side, and it will be that way for as long as I'll live. To reiterate, we are not hated, we are jus told we are, and of course, since it comes from CNN, we believe it...

America is the super power of the current world, but China is catching up, and the EU is aswell, but to a lesser extent than China, so soon there will be three super powers, two of which won't think themselves superior to everyone else.

A main reason why everyone hates America is because when normal people go to other countries they go to experience other culture and appreciate it's differences while some Americans go to shove their "better" American lifestyle and Christian values down peoples throats.

You sir, are delusional. While the USA does weild some international influence, might even be argued to weild more than any other single country, it is a far cry from 'ruling' the world. And, that influence has been slipping for years. Ever since the mid-90s, really, after peaking with the last Gulf War.

In a way you are right.
It has to do with the fall of the Soviet Union.
When there were two super powers they hated them and loved us. Since the Soviets are gone, they are jealous of us as we are a much bigger superpower than any one else.
