(6x-2)+(2x + 4)
= (6x + 2x) + (-2 + 4)
= (6 + 2)x + (-2 + 4)
= 8x + 2.

(6x-2) +(2x+4) since it's adding, you can get rid of the ( )
= 6x-2+2x+4 add/subtract like-terms
=8x+2 final answer

I have been out of school for a couple of years but I think the answer is 8x+2.

Since it is all addition/subtraction...

add the x's
then do the simple numbers..

so 6x+2x
-2+4

8x + 2
