Ann Coulter comes off very poorly every time she opens her mouth. Personally, I think Elizabeth Edwards used that to her husband's advantage. When E Edwards called in, she had to know exactly the kind of response she would get. And, Coulter delivered. I am not certain how much money was coming in to her husband's campaign but I bet its gone up a bit now. If Coulter truly wanted to hurt the Edwards' campaign, she would have apologized for her statements. Coulter would never think to do that, though. But, the fact is that everyone knows that Coulter comes off as a generally nasty person and a blowhard. So, while I do think that Elizabeth Edwards had every right to make her phone call, I also think that she had another motive in mind. Just a thought.

Made perfect sense for Elizabeth to do it as opposed to John. Elizabeth Edwards gets a lot more sympathy than John. Therefore, if she goes on, the money flows in just a bit more than if John does it. Its teamwork for a common goal-getting John Edwards as far as possible in the campaign.

I don't have a problem with that. If someone makes negative statements about you, you have every right to try to turn it around. It's not as if candidates have never used spouses for political gain. Nancy Reagan took on opponents when they attacked her husband. Barbara Bush has never been shy about it either. I don't blame them or call it scripted. We live in the age of media and they all play the game.

I am not an Ann Coulter fan, even though I agree with many of her points,I disagree on the way she presents them, but that interview she had with Chris Mathews on msnbc was a setup by Mathews and Elizabeth Edwards,so now we not only have to look out for weasels in Washington but also weasels like Mathews, msnbc is a station that has no news or commentaries worth watching of their own,so they rely on cutting down commentators from other stations,it must be painstaking for msnbc to always be at the bottom of the ratings

Ann Coulter is one of the most brilliant political minds of our time. The phone call from Edwards was a set-up by the Edwards and I think Miss Coulter handled herself with dignity. The statement that Edwards objected to was taken out of context. She did not mean that she wanted Edwards dead she was making a parallel statement as an example, not as a literal desire. I am always amazed at how the liberals and twist and take things out of context to try to make something that is ot there. Miss Coulter always knows her facts and stands behing what she says.

Ann Coulter, was set up by the Edwards campaign group and that sleaseball Chris Matthews. You bet the Edwards, benefited he is dying in the Demo. race, he has to do somthing to try and keep his name alive. Ann's IQ, is far and above any of those above. If you think she is clueless, you had better check your bank account. Her problem is she speaks the truth which is something no one wants to do or to hear in todays world.

Elizabeth Edwards just emasculated her husband on National TV. His very ill wife told the "Mean Lady to Stop". I wonder if Hillary and Obama paid Coulter to show how weak Edwards really is and get him to drop out of the race. It worked.
Say what you want. America does not elect Pansies. And he just proved he is the biggest in America.
He is Pathetic.....

Coulter, indeed, did not handle that call well. The proper response she should have used is such:

"Mrs. Edwards, your husband is a political figure... he got into politics of his own free will. As such he knew full well going in that he was opening himself up to ridicule. I am a political commentator, and satirist. My job is to poke fun at politicians. If your husband does not like this sort of attention he is free to retire from public life, however, so long as he remains in politics, he can continue to expect to be rediculed. It's part of the job. Get over it."

You know, a lot of you more liberal people act all high and mighty, as if your side of the political spectrum doesn't call names, well, I have some quotes for you...
These are all off of the back of one of Michelle Malkins's books, "Unhinged Exposing Liberals Gone Wild."
"Ought to be shot between those Viet Cong eyes!"
"One hideous and tremendously stupid woman."
"[a] fetid heap of parrot droppings"
"Some **** out there pandering to the radical right."
"This is what happens when you send a yellow woman to do a white man's job."
"A pernicious race-baiting fascist who constitutes a blight upon the body politic."
"An ugly, obnoxious and semi-literate ****."
I could go on and on. Oh, I added the capitals at the start of each sentence, I can't stand not doing that.

I saw that and i noticed that coulter seemed embarrassed even tough she was hiding behind her glasses. She didn't know what to tell to elizabeth edwards.I think Ann Coulter shoud refrain form making personal remarks about presidential candidates.
If she did i would take her more seriously.

Ann is really not a very nice person. It's really that simple. Her 15 minutes of fame will eventually pass and her true ugliness will be visible for all to see.
