I am under the assumption that it has a 512 mb hard drive and that it holds 3000 blocks, but what is the average blocks of saved memory per game?

I'm just wondering if i am going to need to buy an SD card or not.

Thanks so much!!!

The amount of blocks changes per game. The average game takes between 5 to 10 blocks (depending on what it's saving, if it's just your place in a level, it's not that many blocks, but if its a game that saves your place, inventory, customizations and personal profile, it will take more). Keep in mind there are games that have multiple profiles that may require you to keep a save file just for the game itself, and then subsequent save files for each profile (imagine a Tony Hawk game, there is a save file for the game, then save files for each park, deck, trick, and skater you create, all with different block sizes). Just remember that 3000 blocks is plenty, and generally gives you memory for about 50 games easy (depending on the save file of each game of course). Also as an added bonus, these are just regular SD cards, if you have a modern digital camera, or anything else that takes SD cards, you can use those same cards in your Wii. Another 512Mb card isn't going to cost you much at all, but will double your save files and if you spring for something fancy, like a 2Gb card, you'll have about 12,000 blocks, but you'll probably never need that much unless you own every Wii game that will ever come out.

Well, one save memory = 1 block usually, Make it two for a big game. It will last you for a good time.
I bought a 2 gig one for a good price and that gave me over 15000 blocks of memory. With a 1 gig you will just be set.
