Both will be on the bottom of your engine, so to access them you're going to need the car to be on wheel ramps or securely on jack stands. Do not attempt to change your oil using the small jack included with your car. Always engage the parking brake while your car is on ramps or stands.
CHANGING YOUR OIL
You'll need:
-New motor oil. Check your owners manual or contact a dealer for quantity and type. 5W30 should be ok.
-An Oil collection container. The nice ones double as a drain pan, with a cappable hole in the center.
-A new oil filter. There should be a book or electronic guide near the oil filters in the store, to see which kind your car uses.
-A couple rags
-A funnel
-A beverage.
The bottom of your engine will be one large smooth surface, this is your oil pan. The drain plug should be somewhere on the bottom, and will look like a bolt. Use a wrench to remove it, being sure to have an oil collection container (available at auto parts stores) underneath to catch the 4-5 quarts of oil that will come out the second you remove the plug.
**protip**: It is illegal to drain the oil onto the ground. Always use a proper container to collect used motor oil, and take it to any place that does oil changes to dispose of it properly.***
Ok, now that the old oil is out of the engine, you need to remove the oil filter. It should be visible from underneath your car, and will be about the size of a soup can, with a slightly rounded bottom. You may need a strap wrench to remove it. Again, a little oil may come out as you remove it, so have your container ready. Place the old filter upside down to let the old oil drain out before throwing it away.
Now wipe off your oil drain plug and re-install it nice and snug, but not TOO tight. Take your new oil filter out of the box (you DID buy a new filter, right?). Use your finger or a towel to apply some new motor oil to the rubber seal before installing it, this helps to ensure a proper, leak-free seal. Install it as tight as you can get it with your bare hands.
Now get out from under your car and open the hood. There should be a large plastic cap marked "motor oil". Remove it, this is where the new oil will be going. Use a funnel to add the reccomended amount of new motor oil. Pour slowly, try not to get any on the engine. If it does get on the engine, wipe it down, and ignore the smell for the first few minutes of driving later on.
Somewhere on/near the engine should be your dipstick, it will most likely have a yellow handle. Pull this out, wipe the end off with a rag, put it all the way into the dipstick tube and pull out again to get a measurement. There should be a marked area near the end, this is your full level. If the motor oil is not within that area, add more oil, a half quart at a time between checking the level. Once the level is good, replace the dipstick AND the oil fill cap.
Wipe off your hands and start your vehicle. Look under your engine to check that no oil is leaking, shut the car off immediately if it is, and tighten the drain plug and filter. Also check your gauges for any warning lights that do not go out.
Make sure everything is out from underneath the car, and carefully remove it from the ramps or jackstands. Close the hood. Drink beverage, and celebrate a job well done.
>>>> If you do not feel comfortable doing any of this, bring a friend that has done it before or take the car somewhere to have the oil changed. Destroying your engine is not fun.

Slide under with a good light, and look. The drain will be the lowest point of the oil pan (bottom of the engine) and the filter will be screwed into the engine somewhere, just look for something like the picture.
