In the recent contract list by BCCI Yuvraj is in A Group and Zaheer in C group. The board doesn't know the seniority. Do anyone can find the difference in Yuvraj and Zaheer. Almost both have performed in same level. Munaf is sitting outside while Sreesanth in the team. Munaf who is fastest bowler of the country. Irfan has no place though he manage to be in contract list and Kaif when he made century in the test, the next test he has to sit outside to give place to Yuvraj. Do anyone knows here what I am talking about. Everyone knows that Kaif has been tipped to be future captain, I think somewhere in the Board realises that therefore he was so in and out since then he has to loose place in team. Irfan is out for what reason no one knows. So many are non performer but Irfan has been identifities solely for 1 purpose because at the end the NAME is important. No one still not realise that it was KAIF who out of world cup. His 'HAI' made them out of world cup

Mr. Modest I know your good intentions but not everyone at the top, but the situation is bit difference, selecting 11 is very hard, but for Muslims you have to show double. Those who advocates Yuvraj or Karthick, everyone knows they are not 100% reliable but they made better to team better then Kaif or Zaheer. The example I have given is clear and straight. Kaif has to sit outside and show whereas Yuvraj straight come to the team from injury. See the difference and proove me I am wrong

It is true that the grading system is not fair.Don't forget that Balaji,Laxman, Dinesh Mongia ..have also suffered.
But I feel that Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel will gain their places back.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you are quite concerned about the fate of Indian cricketers who are all Muslims. I think that while the BCCI does act arbitrarily and are accused of favouritism and regional bias on a lot of occassions, there haven't been any accusations of any bias in the selection process on communal considerations till now.
Yuvraj and Zaheer perform different roles. Yuvraj is essentially a batsman who bowls occassionally. Zaheer is primarily a bowler. Yuvraj has performed more consistently as a batsman than Zaheer has done as a bowler in recent times. All the same, I'm not sure whether Zaheer's performance merits a C category. But you have to accept that Zaheer is well past his best and with a highly inconsistent performance can not be considered for automatic selection. I think it would have been better if you had compared Zaheer's performance with that of Agarkar. The latter is regularly included in the team though he is largely a non performer.
Munaf might well be India's fastest bowler. But of late he has seen few successes and has succumbed frequently to injuries. Sreesanth on the other hand has managed to keep himself relatively injury free with occassional successes too. And honestly there isn't a big gap in the bowling speeds of Sreesanth and Munaf. Sreesanth wasn't allowed to play in the last World Cup though he was fit and fine. How come you have nothing to say about that? However, inclusion of Sreesanth doesn't mean the automatic exclusion of Munaf. Both these talented youngsters can be included in the side. Everyone expects to see Munaf back in the side once he gets over his injuries.
Irfan, India's successful new ball bowler, lost his form when Chappell tried to make him a top order batsman as well. Blame Chappell and not the BCCI for making a mess of his talent. He failed to become a good batsman who could perform consistently and lost his bowling form in the bargain. Lillee has corrected Irfan's bowling action at the MRF Pace Academy and hopefully he will return to the national side soon.
Kaif used to be a very good utility batsman and a great fielder. Too many inclusions and exclusions probably upset his natural form and rhythm. To that extent the BCCI is surely answerable. But at no point of time was Kaif considered a candidate for India's captaincy. After Saurav Ganguly's totally unjustified removal from India's captaincy and exclusion from the side, it was only Dravid who could take up the mantle with his performance and experience. Kaif was never captain material. Incidentally, it was Saurav Ganguly who as the Indian captain had made it possible for many of the young talents that you have named to find a place in the Indian team. But many of these youngsters conveniently forgot Ganguly's contribution to their careers when he was thrown out of the team.
Finally, these people can always make a comeback if they perform well in the domestic circuit. I think Vengsarkar is one of the finest selectors that India had and he will ensure that the deserving get a chance. It is always their performance and not their names (as you think) that will ultimately count. It is useless to look at such issues with tainted glasses. Your question would have looked less biased if you had asked why Harbhajan is out of the team as well. At least he isn't inferior to any of the cricketers mentioned in your question.

i agree that Zaheer Khan should have been given A group and I also agree that Munaf should be played but I dont agree that Kaif should be played instead of Yuvraj. And I am also thinking why is Pathan not playing. He should be given a chance to play for the team.

I beg to disagree with your views. Kaif was dropped from the team after his continuous failure to perform. There were lot of criticism as to why he is being persisted with in spite of his failure. After he was dropped from the team, he has not made any any notable performance in domestic cricket to stake his claim for come back in the Indian Team.

Though Zaheer Khan was droppedfrom the Team due to poor performance he has come back strongly due to his
excellent performance in the domestic matches and county matches.

Sreesanth has been preferred to Munaf Patel as Patel is prone to injuries and has not proved 100 percent fit.

I agree with you that no favourtism should influence the selection of players in the Indian Team and the players should be selected purely on merit and current form.
