I found this Page scan Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! There is also a picture of someone holding a copy of the book. Check it out here: http://www.allforums.net/showthread.php?t=28469

I know security on the 7th book is like fort-knox- but then again spoilers like this have been leaked out before. Mugglenet got page scans of every chapter of Half-Blood Prince from an anonymous source over 3 weeks before it was published. This picture was featured in Wikipedia recently too. Is there anyone who can say for sure if its real or not? Thanks

Neither of them are real.

The book the person is holding looks WAY too thin to be Deathly Hallows. They probably found an image of the cover art online, enlarged it, printed it, and wrapped it around some other book.

The writing in the page scan has a couple of minor grammatical errors, which is not JKR's style. Also, the whole tone of the page doesn't feel like JKR's writing, either. Probably it's a page from a fanfic, which somebody formatted to look like a book page, printed it out, and then took a low-quality picture of it to make it harder to tell where it came from.

The cover image is accurate, but the cover art has been out for a while. That would make it possible for someone faking the book to easily place a cover on any other book and make it appear to be the seventh book.

As for the page scan, without having seen the actual book we can be lead to believe that that's actually a page from the sixteenth chapter. It looks pretty authentic, but it could well be a fake made to look as closer to Rowling's work as possible. The thing I don't really like is how blurry the image, would make it easier to pass off a fake.

No, better to wait until the 21st. Besides, wasn't there a news article when the release date was originally announced saying those with mail order copies weren't going to get them early but rather the publishers would mail them out so they'd arrive on the 21st?

I doubt it. By the looks of it, the book seems like the cover was just printed out and placed on another book. And since the supposed page from the book is pretty blurry, I can't make it out all that well but I think it says Chapter sexteen at the top, just sixteen. And for all we know, someone could have written a page of their own and formatted it just like it is in the books. But it would be really cool if it was real.
And the only one who can say it is real is JK Rowling or her publishers.

I doubt that is real...it's easy to fake pages and things like that. The book looks incredibly thin. I remember reading somewhere it is supposed to be longer than Half Blood Prince. I doubt that this is real. I just hope the spoilers aren't real!

i think the book looks to thin to be DH. DH is supposed to be the second longest book...and that looks like it's only as think as the first or second book to me....but maybe...who knows?

I think it's real. It certainly looks it. But, then again, the book looks too thin.
