I hope not.
As an independent - I will more likely vote Democratic this time because of the mess we are in.
Bush won't give up documents that Congress has subpoenaed? I am glad we have the 3 branches of government on this one.
At least with the Dem's all you have to worry about is sex scandals - and not matters of national security.

I am disgusted with the Republican party however, I will not vote for a Democrat unless I know that he/she will be voting against most things that the leadership of the Democratic party stand for. If it were not for the Republicans (after a lot of phone calls from constituents) we would now be welcoming at least 12 million Mexicans into our country and allowing them to become citizens of this country. I am scared of the Democrats a lot more than I am scared of Republicans. When you have a party that is supported by George Soros and MoveOn.Org then that party has no choice except to lean to the far left. When you have a party that would not even vote for an ammendment that would not have allowed criminals to become US citizens and the Democrats vote against that - I think I will stick to the lesser of two evils. In addition, if you are talking about scandals I think you need to relook at Clinton's presidency and all of his cronies who were convicted of crimes (I am not talking about anything to do with Monica)!

Conservatives,at least most of them, will vote Republican no matter what because of the issues the party stands for. Though they may be just as outraged at some of the scandals it just highlights that both parties are corrupt and reforms need to happen. Conservatives will vote they way they do because they don't want legalization of gay/lesbian marriage because those who vote republican are very conservative christian and to them that is like creating Sodom/Gemorrah in the U.S. but they also are very anti abortion and very much in favor of Laissez Faire for businesses. They don't vote for the party based upon how clean and scandal free it is but on the stances they take.

I'm not a Republican (I identify as Libertarian), but I tend towards a more conservative side of things, and I've just got to say that scandals do not change a party or its platforms. Just because some awful people were involved in some nefarious business and they happened to be Republican does not make all Republicans evil. It does not change what the Republican party stands for, but merely shows a pollution of the original ideals.
I'll always vote for whoever best expresses my beliefs, regardless if someone in the party has done something naughty.

Are you talking real conservatives or the neo cons?
Just answering some posts:
OMG...so, Clinton getting head is more egregious than the scandals now?!? Did the whole world hate the US with Clinton?!....How many soldiers died with Clinton in the White House and during that time-How many ADA's were fired for not agreeing to break the laws instead of defending them?! ...good grief, where do these nitwits come from?!
...yes, I am a registered rep. but I am moderate rep..they do not seem to exist anymore..

I am actually thinking of Reg. as a Republican..so I can vote for RON PAUL in the Primary! This is coming from someone who has always voted Democrat all their life. Ron Paul is the ONLY one who is trying to stop the North American Union...and actually standing up for AMERICAN rights.

People will vote for what they believe in, conservative, liberal or middle of the road. The Democrats have had plenty of their own scandals too - it isn't just Republicans - its "humans".

Nope. Because going to the other side is just a bad idea, they'll probably think the other side is worst than their current side.
